NRMIS: Nuclear and other Radioactive Materials Information System

We have developed a secure information system that centralizes and fully digitalizes the accountancy information on nuclear and other radioactive material available within a State. This system is called the “Nuclear and other Radioactive Material Information System” (NRMIS). The input options allow the user to introduce information that could be used for identifying the material and its storage place, check the date of entry under safeguards and also provide data on its origin. Apart from safeguards-related details, the user can add physical, chemical, elemental and isotopic characteristics, as well as analytical reports, which extends the purpose of the database from a safeguards accountancy system to supporting the National Nuclear Forensics Library. 

Portable CBRN gloveboxes

Initial assessment of potentially CBRN contaminated items can be performed outside the laboratory controlled environment. INCEN has developed various types of portable multi or sigle use gloveboxes which allow to minimise contamination risks when working with hazardous materials.

NOTE: These systems do not protect from exposure to ionizing electromagnetic or neutron radiation.
